Delo Silver is Caltex’s heavy-duty multigrade for diesel engines, and because it also handles some petrol engines, it’s handy for anyone running a mix of vehicles. The 1-litre size mostly goes into high-mileage vehicles that need a top-up, or into smaller utility engines.
What it does
- Anti-wear additives protect piston rings and help reduce scuffing.
- Holds a strong oil film under heavy load and summer heat, which helps keep oil consumption down.
- Keeps soot suspended so it drains out with the oil instead of forming sludge or clogging the filter.
